Thank you for the wonderful job you are doing with the Georgia newspapers and making them available online. It makes doing Georgia research so much easier and rewarding !
Will you be adding the Atlanta Journal and the various Savannah newspapers (Sav. Republican; Daily Morning News; etc.)at some point?
Thanks for your kind words in regard to our newspaper digitization efforts. We are not currently digitizing the titles you listed, but they are significant to the history of the state and they are definitely on our radar for the future. Thanks for visiting the site and leaving a comment!
hey man, nice blog…really like it and added it to bookmarks. keep up with good work
Hey There. I found your weblog using msn. That is a really
well written article. I’ll make sure to bookmark it
and return to learn extra of your helpful information.
Thank you for the post. I will definitely return.
Thank you so much for offing these digitized newspapers!!! It is so amazing to be able to have access this information and your work is truly appreciated! I was so excited to find the Savannah Morning News added!!!
Right here is the perfect webpage for anybody who really wants to find out
about this topic. You realize a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually will need to…HaHa).
You certainly put a new spin on a topic that’s been written about for ages.
Great stuff, just great!
I am writing from the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia and would love to talk to someone about partnering with the Digital Library of Georgia. We are in the process of digitizing our historical archives and would love to discuss becoming a content partner.
Can you put me in touch with the correct person?
I have sent you an email with a response to this question to your email address.
Thanks for your interest in the DLG
You have the “Savannah Morning News” through 1880.
Any chance you’ll be digitizing this newspaper beyond 1880, perhaps up to 1910 or so ?
Keep up the great work !
We don’t have plans to digitize more issues of this title immediately, but we will place it on our list.
Hello, Any ideas how I can find any images on COL Columbus Cusick, the Professor of Military Science 1900 1902?
My best recommendation is, if you can think of any scholarly affiliations the professor had, seeing if you can find an annual published by those schools that might have a photograph. If those schools still exist, the annuals may belong to their archives. If not, perhaps a local historical society in the town(s) that Columbus Cusick taught in might have some guidance to suggest. Good luck!
