September is National Wilderness Month. The Georgia wilderness is a habitat for the state’s wildlife, and the breeding ground for many animal species. We would like to point you to some DLG resources that feature the protection of Georgia’s wild places and natural resources.

September is National Honey Month!

According to the National Honey Board, honey bees are responsible for pollinating up to eighty percent of insect-pollinated plants that comprise as much as one third of America’s diet. As a byproduct of this process, more than 300 types of honey can be found in the United States.

To celebrate National Honey Month, we have picked out a few resources in the DLG that feature honey and honeybees. We hope you enjoy them.
