U.S. Copyright Office Publishes Recommendations for Digitization of Orphan Works

The U.S. Copyright Office recently reviewed and made recommendations about the problem of orphan works under U.S. copyright law. During its review, the Copyright Office solicited comments and held public roundtables on the issues that effect digitization of orphan works. The results of the study are now available in the report, “Orphan Works and Mass Digitization: A Report of the Register of Copyrights,” which is available at http://www.copyright.gov/orphan/.
