New 8th Grade Social Studies Poster Available Online (SS8H11b Social Studies Standards of Excellence module)

We’re happy to share the latest in a series of printable posters for K-12 educators and students, based upon the Georgia 8th Grade Social Studies Standards of Excellence.

These resources provide high-quality, standards-aligned materials that help teachers meet the varying academic interests and needs of their students.

The latest poster is for the SS8H11b module, “Evaluate the role of Georgia in the modern civil rights movement. Describe the role of individuals (Martin Luther King, Jr. and John Lewis), groups (SNCC and SCLC) and events (Albany Movement and March on Washington) in the Civil Rights Movement.”

The poster is downloadable here and comes from the Southern school news. (Nashville, Tenn.) 1954-1965, April 01, 1964, Page 9, “School Board Takes Some Actions Advocated by Little Rock Negroes”
