Those of us interested in local (Augusta) history are still hoping one day to see the “modern” Augusta Herald (1899-1973) in the files. That was the afternoon newspaper that hit the streets and homes around 1 p.m., daily, right in time for businessmen to come home to lunch and check out the latest local news.
this is great. wish there were more north ga newspapers available, like pickens, ellijay, dawson counties. here’s hoping one day that will happen. thanks guys for all your hard work.
Wish you’d add the Times Currier from Ellijay.
